Aside from sunscreen, wearing protective clothing and limiting the time you spendin the sun are esssential too for skin protection.
If you are confused about which best sunscreen to choose for sun protection, check the product label
1. Have a sun protection factor(SPF) OF 15 or higher.
2. "Be broad spectrum", means it is proven to guard against ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. UVB are mostly to blame for sunburn but UVA rays also contribute. Both types raise the risk of skin cancer and premature skin aging, so a broad spectrum is an important factor.
Bull Frog Mosquito Coast was recommended by my sister in law when my husband asked for the best sunscreen to buy when we went to the lake. I have two kids that needs sun protection while swimming. Aside from sunscreen it is also an insect repellent which protects the kids from mosquito bites during summer time. We bought 4.7 fl oz at Walmart for $8.44. It is a bit greasy but easy to apply with a light scent. I would recommend the product to keep the sunburn and the mosquitoes away.
Proper Sunscreen application:
1. When you apply sunscreen use enough amount to cover the entire body.too little application of sunscreen can drastically reduce the effective SPF of the product.1 ounce (5-6 teaspoons) of sunscreen is recommended to cover the entire body.
3. Sprayed sunscreen may have the risks of inhaling. To avoid this, spray sunscreen onto your hands to apply it to your face.
2. It must be reapplied every two hours when staying outdoors for a prolonged period of time.
3. It should also be applied at least 30 minutes before going outdoors.

Sunscreen is important. The sun's rays can really harm our skin.

ReplyDeleteIf you can reapply sunscreen often you can go for a lower spf factor, maybe around spf 30 but if you have to stay in the sun for 4-5 hours like endurance athletes, go for spf80 and above.
