How to Clean Out Our Ears

Earwax or cerumen, protects the skin ear canal, assists in cleaning, lubrication, and serves as protection of the ears from bacteria, insects, dirt, moisture and water. However, excess or impacted earwax can press against the eardrum  that may hinder proper hearing.

Many people, are not  quite sure how clean the ears. They irritate the ears so much and  leads only to an infection. Here is the simple tips for you:

1. Never use cotton swabs, Q-tips, ear candles or ear spoon. They only  pack the wax in and may damage or irritiate your ears that may lead to infection.

2. Do purchase an earwax-removal kit. Put a few drops of the solution in your ears before bedtime for several nights. The wax will become soft and may come out on its own during the night.

3. Do  buy a wax vacuum cleaner that gently sucks dirt particles and moisture from the ears.

I love to clean my kids ears gently with cotton swabs and hydrogen peroxide mixed with water but I am worried that this is not enough and was so happy to see a commercial on tv about this product, "WaxVac, Gentle and Effective Ear Cleaner". I love the idea of a gentle suctioning of the dirt inside the ears. This morning I got the kit, delivered on my doorway and ready to give it a try.

I will make another post for product review next week. I can't wait to use it!

  2. That was a great idea. I always clean my kids' ear with cotton swabs and I think that it's not good because the wax get pushed inside the inner ear. I might get one of these for my family.

    Thanks for posting..
