Who You Should Look For (For Easy Sales)

Selling has been an old trade. In the olden times, Esau sold his birthright for a bowl of soup. Rather, Jacob sold his soup for Esau's birthright! However you put it, there was an exchange. In today's selling, one exchanges money for an item or a rendered service.

If you are looking for a way to have some income, whether for a while or for a permanent basis, selling is one of the stepping stones because your basic knowledge is focused on the item being sold or service offered. If you are that salesperson, and you are selling something that is not so much of a need but only a fad, who do you sell to so that you can actually make a sale?

Selling something that others who only buy what is needed and yet they do not find as a need on what you are selling will less likely be your customers. On the other hand, if you sell to people who are impulse buyers, you are more likely to make a sale. Why is that?

Each group of people decides using either the head or the heart. Those who use the head are the thinkers. Before buying something they think whether they will have a need for what you are selling otherwise it will only be a waste of their money. Benefits will be the selling factor. If you give them worthwhile benefits, you get yourself customers out of the thinkers. On the other hand, the impulse buyers are those who are ruled by their emotions. If you tell them how good they will look in the dress or shoes you are selling, you get yourself a sale. Even if they do not have the budget, they will find ways to justify their spending.

Now, how do you look for the impulse buyers? Easy when you look at their handwriting. The slanter to the right, the more that person is to buy impulsely. Vertical writers do not easily budge.

  2. Well, i would say online is one of the best source to spot what's on sale. Mostly, a lot of local stores has hidden sales as well. Now, all i need is money to spend on.

  4. Very interesting. I really didn't thought about handwriting to reflect on the persons way of spending, as an impulsive buyer or the one that won't easily budge. Now I am thinking what I am :-) Thanks for sharing :-)

  5. sellers need to make sure that their products are good and of great quality for them to be able to get more sales otherwise their customers won't come back for more purchase if the products aren't that good and it's not worth paying for.

  8. No wonder i am an impulse buyer for my writing slants to the right. Most successful businesses that I know of started low and then it bigger and bigger as days passed. There are people who really have mind for business and so they succeed in it.

  12. Great points here. I really don't know if I'm an impulsive buyer or not. Most of the time I'm easily persuaded by the salesperson but I also have this habit of not buying what I really want after I have saved for the item. In short, nanghihinayang na ko sa pera when I can already buy it. :/

  13. And with that, I had to check my handwriting direction! ahahahaha! Thanks for sharing, that was something new. This boils down to needs versus wants...fortunately for those who sell stuff that are of fad, a lot of people out there would willingly spend for their wants. :)
