For people who were born on December, they sometimes find it unfair that people give them their birthday and Christmas presents as one gift. While this can be a a very trivial thing for adults, experiencing this can be very devastating especially for kids. The little ones always excitedly look forward to their birthdays, as well as to the Christmas season, waiting for that special present from Santa. But what if their birthdays fall on the Christmas season? When there’s just too many Christmas gift-giving going on that you forget there’s a kid waiting for his/her other gift, that is, the birthday gift?
Of all people, kids are the hardest to disappoint. That is why it is a big no-no to give them birthday gifts and Christmas gift rolled into one. Aside from this causes grave dismay to the kid, doing this may also give the impression that you one tight-handed parent/godparent who wouldn’t spend for the little joys of the little ones.
After all, there are a lot of kinds which you can give as presents to the kids. From toys, to story books, to shoes and apparels, gifts for kids come in many forms and varieties that it does not really take a genius to decide. And thanks to online shops , the choice you have when shopping for kids’ gifts is made even broader!
Spencer Gifts for example, provide you with items that are not only affordable, but also very creative and unique! These gifts make a perfect present, whether that’s Christmas present, or birthday present.
Just remember that do not roll these two presents into one, especially when you are dealing with a kid.
same here. even though my kids have 6 days apart on their birthdays, i still have to celebrate birthday party on different days. therefore more hectic for me. lol. same applies to presents as well.
ReplyDeleteVery good pointers, glad my kids don't celebrate their birthdays on holidays. It is true, kids are happy no matter what you give them so giving them more than one gift is a truly treat for them.
ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate both of the said occasions. However, we do give gifts randomly to our loved ones and friends whenever we want to because the gesture means a lot more than giving gift to an individual who is already expecting to receive one. You are definitely right about some people may complain that their gifts were rolled into one and to avoid confrontations, might as well separate and tag them to, which gift it was from.
ReplyDeleteMy son usually received one gift a year and that is around Christmas...he knows he cant have a gift on his birthday because we usually spend some for the party..:) a party is a gift for him..:)
ReplyDeleteWe do not have any parties of any event since hubby did not believe so. We celebrate by our own way no parties...Its true kids like gifts whatever it is as long as we call it surprise gift for them.
ReplyDeletewaaahh.. I am born December 11 and my gifts are kinda lie that. A Christmas and Birthday gift in one...
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing perfect time especially since christmas is around the corner...
ReplyDeleteAnybody do not want to receive gifts which is rolled into one.My hubby is a December celebrant,he would always ask me if he will receive another gift for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI can appreciate such disappointment over gifts rolled into one since I only give gifts to my children on their birthdays and Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWell, my kid's never been disappointed at anything. We teach him no to be way too spoiled and not expect to get toys all the time. For him, receiving at least one toy that he really likes is something that makes him happy. He never complains at all. :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree on this. Kids should have a separate birthday and Christmas gifts so as for them to fully experience these two events.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad my kids were born in February, because I am so totally the kind of parent who'd give 1 gift for 2 occasions if they were born in December. :D hehehe
ReplyDeleteagree with you mo, that's why I always see to it to have a separate gift for my son who celebrates his birthday on same month
ReplyDeleteOne reason I give gifts on any given day, no particular occasion in mind.... :)
