I always receive newspaper promotions from stores but not really excited to shop during the promo period. To be honest I don't shop at stores just because they have promo's, unless I ran out of stocks needed for my cooking, or in a hurry to buy I really needed for the day. I do my weekly grocery shopping at another store which is way cheaper. I am a very practical housewife, and budgeting is one of the ways to save the hard earned money of my husband. I know how much they priced their commodities, a little bit higher than all the other stores in our place. For a tight budget mom like me, grocery prices should be reasonable.
I am not a couponer but I love Buy 1 Get 1 for 1 cent Promo. Although the stores charge really high compared to other stores, the promo can save money if you chose the right products. For family who is on a tight budget, I can't afford to shop in these stores regularly. One of the best ways to lower grocery costs is to shop at stores that have the lowest prices on groceries. Comparing prices of similar items helps save a lot of money. Sale item is one opportunity to save money too, and we don't need a coupon to stock up our favorite food for less. buy several if the item has a long shelf life.
The trick for saving grocery items is by planning the weekly meals, check items on sale. Shop at more than one store, some groceries has the best prices on packaged and canned goods, and another store that has the best price and quality for fresh produce and meats. Shop at a variety of stores only if it’s worth the time and cost of extra gas.
Shop wisely.
