Just this Wednesday, September 12, Apple unveiled the latest device in their line of iPhones which is the iPhone 5. The launch was held at a media event in San Francisco where Apple made a couple of demonstrations to show how the iOS operating system would turn out in the latest iOS smart phone and to introduce the new features.
However, prior to this very much awaited iPhone 5 launch, rumours from reliable sources are continuously spreading like wildfire, even up to the last day before Apple unveiled the said device. Each speculator tries to make the best rationalization to every iPhone 5 forecasts in order to satisfy people who certainly wants the most trustworthy iPhone 5 predictions that they can get while waiting for the final announcements from Apple themselves.
And to verify which rumours were right all the while, below is a list of the amazing iPhone 5 features that we were already informed about beforehand:
Bigger screen – While a lot of smart phones are already sporting screen sizes even bigger than 4 inches, iPhone has kept theirs at 3.5 inches from the very first iPhone to the iPhone 4s. For this reason, people looked forward to a bigger screen with the iPhone 5. Fortunately, Apple has finally decided to increase iPhone 5’s diagonal screen size to 4 inches. It may still be smaller compared to other leading smart phones such as the Samsung Galaxy SIII’s 4.8-inch screen, Nokia Lumia 920’s 4.5 inch screen or Motorola Droid RAZR HD’s 4.7-inch screen, but considering that iPhone 5’s 4-inch screen is a big leap from their historical 3.5-inch screen, Apple certainly deserves some form of credit.
Higher pixels – Along with the rumour that iPhone 5 will have a bigger screen, some people got worried that this will cause the quality of the display to dwindle. On the other hand, some people believed that Apple is smart enough not to let this happen by increasing the pixels to 640 x 1136, resulting to a pixel density of 326ppi. True enough, this is exactly what Apple did with iPhone 5’s retina display.
The A6 chipset – The iPhone 5 was rumoured to perform faster as compared to its predecessor. This rumour was, again, confirmed due to the integration of the A6 chipset which is almost twice as fast as the A5 version. It also does a great job of enhancing the graphics of the said iOS device.
Support for LTE Network – iPhone 5 owners in North America, Asia and Europe where they can subscribe with carriers capable of having the LTE network can take advantage of this technology in their iPhones for a more efficient internet browsing.
Faster WiFi – Still in relation to high speed internet connectivity, the iPhone 5 has an updated and faster WiFi, capable of having up to 150 mbps.
Longer battery life – People speculated that iPhone will enhance its battery if it will push through with the then rumoured bigger screen and LTE connectivity which can drain the battery life more than the iPhone 4s can. Indeed, iPhone 5’s battery life is expanded with 225 standby hours and eight hours of internet browsing through the LTE technology.
Final Words
Considering that these significant features of the iPhone 5 were proven to be accurate to the letter upon the final launch by Apple, speculators did a great job in anticipating the features of the iPhone 5 in as close to the exact features as possible. But since the iPhone 5 is already launched, we can now stop doubting rumours and behold the real iPhone 5 news as announced by Apple themselves.

It's amazing that a phone that is so thin and light is packed of smart features and has bigger screen. With its specs and features, I'm sure it would sell like hotcakes.
ReplyDeleteI want an Iphone so bad! I need it for my freelance works, blogging etc!
ReplyDeletegreat that it has a longer battery life. i've been on the lookout for reviews via twitter too. :)
ReplyDeleteI am now contented with my Samsung S3. Most of the features from S3 which were not with the previous Iphone were included, though many said that it is thinnier than any other smart phones.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a fan of Apple phones but I want the iMac, it has been my dream for so long.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it's good to know that iPhone 5 has an improved battery. Battery has always been the iPhone users' complain.
Unfortunately... my only Apple gadget is an old version of Nano and it's not even a phone. How I wish to own one but, it doesn't fit my budget and more so... it's not in my priority list. Anyways... magsawa na lng ako sa tingin. :)
ReplyDeleteShould I upgrade to iPhone5? Hmm...
ReplyDeleteOne thing I don't like to buy gadgets is how fast they become obsolete, other gadgets will come out every now and then. Amazing how this kind of technology changes the world.
ReplyDeleteHi sis! I'm actually happy with the 4s. Don't know why some aren't.. I use it often (as in all the time!) in creating images for my bloggy babies.hihih...
DeleteI'm not a fan, to be honest. I think there's very little it brings to the table since the iPhone 4S is such a bad-ass phone to beat in terms of reliability, features, and of course, aesthetics. I consider this a more expensive toy for those who can afford it. For the price, I'd stick to iP4S or an S3.
ReplyDeleteI hate to read this, my husband already has an iPhone and thinks he needs to upgrade to the newer version. I have been trying to talk him out of it and your review is going to send him straight out the door and down to the store!
ReplyDeleteBobbie Anne
I'm super excited for this. Been waiting for this. haha! Hope this will be available here in the Philippines, soon.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd wait a few months before jumping on the bandwagon since the first units usually have some kinks yet. Luckily my postpaid plan is due for renewal soon.
ReplyDeleteOMG! iPhone5 na, kahit isang iPhone wala pa ako..haha..i'm not really into smart phones but I'm sure this will be another hit for Apple.
ReplyDeleteGetting a new phone is the least of my priorities right now so they can roll out all the models they want and it still wouldn't matter. In short,no budget for such luxury!
ReplyDeletewow! it really has amazing features, iPhones really continues to evolve and getting better and better.
ReplyDeleteEverything is bigger and better with this latest version it seems. It should be up for grabs! :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope that they really improved the battery life and the OS for streaming video
ReplyDeleteI have never been a fan of iPhone. I used to be a Blackberry girl and then I switched to Android (I have a Samsung Galaxy Note so iPhone 5's four inch screen does not impress me hahaha!)
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be released here in Singapore on the 21st. Knowing local Singaporeans, I'm sure they've booked online already. ;)
Wonderful mobile phone... with this I've nominated you to be one of those to receive The Versatile Blogger Award. Please check it in this link: Versatile Blogger Award
ReplyDeleteI saw the advertisement at the Apple page - it's awesome to look at and really an eye candy. And even though I want it, it isn't really that affordable.
ReplyDeleteI owned an iPhone4 and i don't seem to have problems with my battery, it can last even two days even though i'm using internet so much. but i've heard that iPhone5 is somewhat similar to 4s when it comes to battery.... Oh well! i'm sure people would still buy it it's because that's the latest and they want the newest.
ReplyDeleteTechnology and gadget is really amazing indeed :-) I never have an iPhone but maybe someday if I become rich :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd yet another much awaited device have finally launched. How exciting that is. But, I shouldn' get too excited because there is no way I'll be upgrading my mobile that soon. But, I'm excited for all the people that already pre-order this latest apple gadget. I'm not sure when I can physically try it.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! My husband love to get this one! But of course, as usual, we need to pay for it.
ReplyDeletegosh, they just never stop! I don't think I can afford to upgrade to iPhone 5....:(
ReplyDeleteI would love to have that new iphone because my iphone 4s kept on battery low with me but i think i will pass i have no budget for it pa
ReplyDeleteIt's way cool and way expensive either! :) i still like my phone now :)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting but cannot afford though. I never have iPad before heheheh...
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing when techonology works at its best. Sounds like the iPhone5 is a great one. :) I love all the cool features. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I'm not really into smart-phones but for those who are avid followers of iPhones this is a great news :)
ReplyDeleteSmart phones, smart phones, smart phones.. they are just tempting us. yeah, dont you think? just a few months back iPhone 4s were launched now, iPhone 5.. I wonder when will they launch the iPhone 6 :/... Well, for sure a lot people are expecting this and most of them wanting to buy one too.
ReplyDeleteI am very curious about iPhone 5 as I've been hearing a lot about it. No doubt it's another great innovation. It's impossible for me to own one at the moment though.
ReplyDeleteI am not a phone person. Unbelievable, but true. I got a phone, a Nokia old model, just this year when I started working. Just for me to use to call my husband when I'm ready to go home. LOL.
ReplyDeleteBut of course, I can't survive without my laptop/iPad. :P
i have heard and read about it two months ago and i believe they are suing samsung for copying something, i don't know the details.
ReplyDeleteo well.. i've dreamt of having an Apple product before but reading reviews and feedbacks sometimes make me think twice.
ReplyDeleteyep! its here alright. people already made their reservation. it will be out on Sept 21. i bet there will be a few glitches of this new phone. i would advice to get it by the end of the year where you can read real reviews from people who used it already.
ReplyDeleteso true, there were not much of "ooh"s and "aah"s during the launch of the 5th installment of iPhone because of the leaks that were proven were all real in the end.
ReplyDeleteso many changes but I guess the connector would be a big problem...anyway, given all the phones I'd still go for an iPhone, loving it!
ReplyDeleteWhen this phone is released, the whole world goes GAGA about it. Great phone indeed.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful, beautiful creation. Haven't seen it yet...iPhone is getting hotter and smarter.
