Keep Your House Clean and Make Some Money
De-Clutter Your House
Did you know that you can actually make money from cleaning your own house? Well, no one’s going to pay you for the actual cleaning, perhaps, but by de-cluttering, you’ll find a number of great stuff to sell online.
You probably have CDs and DVDs lying around the house, unused and just adding to the clutter. Don’t throw them in the bin! Why not sell them online? Not only will you have less clutter in the house, you can also have some cash to pad your wallet. There are lots of great ways to recycle your stuff.
Let Kids Clean Their Room and Earn Some Bucks
The average kid’s room is a clutter of toys, clothes, and thingamabobs. Have you gotten tired of yelling at them to clean up and stay neat? If that didn’t work, you can try positive reinforcement instead. Encourage them to clean the room, sort stuff they don’t need, sell those online, and give them the profit as bonus? Of course, you might want to filter out what they’ll put on sale else you come back to a home stripped of all living room and kitchen appliances!
Clean the Attic and Garage
If your attic and garage are filled with boxes of stuff you can’t remember what, then it is best to find time to sort those out. Chances are, there are a number of great finds that you’ve stashed because you can’t find the best place where they best fit in the house. Old movies and great music CDs could also be just collecting dust inside those boxes! Newer Blu-rays may also be forgotten in the boxes because you’ve seen those movies countless of times already.
There is no need to fill your house with an extensive collecting of various music and movie media most especially if counter or wall space is at a minimum! Scour the house for Blu-rays, CDs, and DVDs you can sell online. You can profit from your old stuff while you keep your house neat and clean. Surely, that’s a win-win situation!

There are plenty of opportunities to earn money from idle stuff just lying around the house and collecting dust! :) I also opt to give away some stuff to some less fortunate relatives :)
ReplyDeleteDecluterring the household and trying to salvage some value out of it can really help rather than having a messy place and soon to be dilapidated stuff.
ReplyDeleteI agree, you can a absolutely make money out of your junks! I just did mine last month and made money out of it too!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more :) we need to get rid of the things that's been sitting in the corner that way we will have more spacious area and make money too
ReplyDeletei love my house clutter free so i most of the times donate things we don't need or hand them down.:)
ReplyDeleteMe and my daughter are planning to have a garage sale this summer, we have so many things to get rid of.
ReplyDeleteYep, I so agree. We did garage sale last summer and planning on doing the same this time.
ReplyDeletemaking money out of old stock items in the house is a great idea. actually we're doing this selling it in a cheaper price
ReplyDeleteI do have many old CD's at home but in some cases I can't sold them or throw away because of sentimental value.
ReplyDeletewhen you clean your house, it's the time you get the chance to check out old things that can be sold, i guess this one is really nice.
ReplyDeleteKids cleaning their rooms is pretty important training. I sometimes have a cleaning service help with the common areas of the house, but I make sure the kids clean their rooms. It's an important life skill.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, this reminds me about the general cleaning that I have indefinitely postponed. I just don't have the time to start my cleaning duties. I usually just sell my stuff on the recycling market, it's easier to dump everything there than have to wait for them to get sold. Hehehe!
ReplyDeleteHaha this reminds me of the sulit.com.ph television advertisement wherein a couple finds "trashes" in their home to sell in the online site to earn money.
ReplyDeleteI did decluttering in 2010 when a sort of garage event was held in the company. I've sold a lot of books, DVDs and old clothes, and earned a total of P9,200. Though 30% went for the fund raising program of the company but it was all worth it. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is hitting two birds with one stone... your house will be free from clutter and you earn extra bucks at the same time. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteOnce a year, we have a garage sale. But every three months, I do general cleaning of the house, ridding 'kalakal' things. As they say, "May pera sa Basura".
ReplyDeleteWe do garage sale occasionally so as selling the things we seldom and no longer use in the net.
ReplyDeleteMy mom always yells at me because my room is super messy (clothes, shoes, bags, notebooks are everywhere) and she suggested why not sell my stuff that I'm not using anymore, so in that way I can earn some money. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't usually sell my stuffs and I don't know why.. maybe because I always find stuffs to do with it like DIY.. haha!
ReplyDeleteCorrect! We also do that here in our house Ms. Tess. We had our GARAGE SALE last March after we have our general cleaning in our house. We find so many things to sell the likes of DVD, CD, stuff toys, shoes and accessories. Super enjoy our hard work paid off!
ReplyDeleteWe have our GARAGE SALE 2 now. We are selling our OLD CLOTHES and PANTS. Not so old nman, use it once or twice then never bothered to use it again. ;)
DeleteYou gave me an idea to sell my kid's excess toys and used clothes online. Nice move.
ReplyDeleteI did this just last month. General cleaning! Then held a garage sale ;) Surely did earn money from it. And more than I expected!
ReplyDeleteJust over a week ago, I cleaned my closet and made some money after selling my old clothes at a blogger's fair.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I've long been wanted to do. I think if I can finally do it, I'll be bale to find stuff which can earn me money. Thanks for the tip, gonna do it soon.
ReplyDeleteOhh I would really love to do this on our house, my mom is a hoard -.- our house is big but looks like whatever because of the things we don't need anymore! Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteThese are great tips I can share with my family for us to earn money while putting away our trashes. I remember SM has a program that does this.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! We have so many things in the house that just eat up space and we haven't used them in ages. (Clothes, shoes, curtains, etc.) We just can't find time to declutter. XD
ReplyDeletei definitely agree. this is what I actually did with my son's used clothes, sold them at a very cheap price(instead of just keeping them in a cabinet), made some money, and that started my online business. :)
ReplyDeleteagree with this mam tess! my husband started de cluttering our house since i admit i love collecting stuffs but it came to the point that it doesnt feel good that a lot of things just in there and haven't touched since. We're donating them to like amilitary place here im not sure what they call it though it nice to know you help someone else.
ReplyDeletemy husband and i started doing this we decided that there was alot of things we had we jut didnt need and was taking up space in our home we needed. we had a yard sale and i do sell things over the internet
ReplyDeleteI always de-clutter and re-clutter my room. Haha! I haven't tried holding garage sales though. That might be interesting :)
